This is an approximately 650 m-long sandy beach offering a great view of the Bay. Great to explore at low tide!
Above Long Beach is a rather extensive sandy terrace, interspersed with conglomerate outcrops and the underlying bedrock. Transport of the sand and natural erosion of the terrace and its underlying conglomerate rocks have led to the formation of one of the very few mostly sandy beaches along the coast between St Martin’s and Alma in the northern portion of the Upper Bay of Fundy.
